Day 11: Spirit led generosity

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23

CONSIDER THIS: Spirit led generosity is simply responding to the Spirit’s prompting. Life is often full of challenges and obstacles which lead to fear and anxiety. Peace can be absent or only an occasional experience. Jesus offers a life that includes a daily intake of unconditional love, joy in the presence of struggle, and peace while experiencing uncertainty. The greatest hinderance to hearing the Spirit is fear and anxiety. Our need to be in control leads to worry and doubt which eclipse the Spirits prompting. This blocks the reality of Christ alive in me. Control means I must fix it and often we realize that we don’t have the resources needed to accomplish this need. When we stop and remind ourselves that I have a heavenly Father who loves me and is at work to accomplish his best outcome for my good, peace and confidence follows. Now we can be Spirit led to respond to what he has for me today. Watch this video that presents the 4 G’s of the Gospel.

PRAYER:

  1. Thank God for the Spirit that lives in you whether you are presently experiencing the fruits or not.
  1. Prayerfully consider how often you are experiencing the peace of God rather than anxiety.
  1. Prayerfully be reminded the 4 G’s of the Gospel

Praying as a group?

Leading others in prayer is a great step in making disciples. We want to celebrate your and their faithfulness. For each person that prays with you, we will add 15 minutes to the 40.8 days of prayer committed so far.

Day 1: Reflecting On Our Blessings

August 1, 2024

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
