For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, [5] so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Consider this: I am inspired by stories of people who step out of their comfort zones and follow the promptings of Jesus. I often find myself making choices that lead to comfort and personal preferences. However, those choices leave me with a lack of purpose and fulfillment. So, when I hear stories of followers of Jesus stepping out of their comfort zone into their calling and gifting, resulting in new experiences of fulfillment and impact, it encourages me to take steps of faith to the Spirit’s prompting in me. As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
